Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton disparaged the Rev. Jeremiah Wright on Tuesday and told a conservative newspaper publisher, and later a news conference, that she would not not have been a member of a church whose leader offered fiery opinions such as those by Wright.
But it turns out that the leader of the church Clinton attended for eight years when her husband was president has leaped into the debate -- on the side of Wright.
